GIANLUCA CAPURSO
Gianluca Capurso (1981) received his PhD in "Building Engineering: Architecture and Construction" from the University of Rome Tor Vergata in February 2010.
Since 2013 he has taken part in SIXXI research. Currently, he deals with the modernisation of construction techniques and structural calculations,
also in relation to the Italian socio-economic transformations after the economic boom.
Between 2005 and 2010 he took part in the researches coordinated by Prof. Sergio Poretti, in the "Architecture and Construction" Research Team,
on the history of Italian architecture and construction, on the conservation of Italian works of architecture and on the history of Italian engineering in Twentieth Century.
In 2009-2010 he collaborated with the Archivio del Moderno in Mendrisio in the exhibition "Luigi Moretti architetto. Dal Razionalismo all'informale".
In 2009 the Italian Ministry of Culture engaged him in the valorisation and cataloguing of the personal and professional archive of the Italian architect Arnaldo Foschini.
In 2006 he collaborated with the National Committee for the centenary celebration of the birth of the architect Mario Ridolfi.
Since 2005 he has also collaborated in didactics for bachelor's and master's degree in "Building Engineering" and in "Building Engineering and Architecture" at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
He's the author of the book: Struttura e architettura. Indagini sul dopoguerra italiano, Gangemi 2020.
